Wondering Wall

“Wonder is the beginning of wisdom.” Socrates
In Room 9 we promote questioning and wondering. To help children on the road to 'Inquiry Learning' we use the wondering wall.
Every week a new photo will be put on this part of the blog. Please take time with your children to discuss the photo using -
I see...
I think...
I wonder...

For example -  I see 2 eyes.
                          I think it looks smooth.
I wonder if it lives in the sea.

On a Monday mornings we will discuss the photo and share our thoughts about the photo using the above structure -
I see...
I think...
I wonder...
These thoughts will be displayed on the Wondering Wall window display.

The first photo will be posted and discussed with the children in class to set out expectations.

If you have any questions about this please feel free to come and see me.

I wonder where you may have seen one of these before?
Use
 I see....
I think....
I wonder ....
to discuss it with your parents.

Week 5

Have you ever seen one of these before?
Use
 I see....
I think....
I wonder ....
to discuss it with your parents.

Mrs Hinman's example of wondering wall thinking.
I see some pink, shiny circles.
I think they are soft and delicate.
I wonder what makes the shapes pink.

Yes they were bubbles.
