It has been so exciting being an audience to interesting and a variety of different cultural items. Our biggest challenge at the moment is the voice volume of the presentations. It can be very nerve wracking to stand and share in front of others. This is a good start and an area we will work on all year.
I wonder if you can guess the countries being discussed?

I was so fascinated by the expressions on the children's faces. More photos to come of the event itself. |

Our Unathi was part of the display where she held a bubble which was filled with dry ice. Absolutely incredible. |
Room 9 Mihi
A mihi is a personal introduction to others (usually in Maori but can incorporate other languages too).
We have been working on our own Mihi, even Mrs Hinman has been writing hers.
We will put these in a book so that we can practice sharing them at school as part of our Maori and oral language programme. A copy will also come home for some practice. Your listening and appreciative ears would be fabulous.
