Matariki
This week we are focusing on Matariki.
What is Matariki? Good question.
We will be reading stories, collating and displaying our learning.
Today we discovered that making kites is part of Matariki... so we made kites.
Matariki is about the seven stars. Our kites were shaped as a star and the tails are made from weaving.
We think they look great and fly pretty well too.
We will be writing diamanté poems about kites too. Watch out for our fabulous writing.
Your Matariki star kites are so beautifully and colourfully made. What a great time you must have had flying them. I can see you worked really hard on your weaving too. I can't wait to read your diamanté poems.
