Oral language Science Experiment Presentations

We have had some wonderful presentations which have encouraged us to use our observation and questioning skills.

Summer did a chemical reaction.

Look what happened when she put a mentos into a bottle of coke.
See the mentos on the concrete? They were 'spat' out of the bottle 

Just like a volcano.

Unathi also used a chemical reaction in her experiment

She put some baking soda into a balloon then fitted the balloon
onto the bottle with vinegar in it. When the baking soda reacted with the
vinegar a gas was formed which blew the balloon up. We were amazed.

Isobel showed a reaction too. This container has milk in it.

Different food colouring was added.

Now she added dishwashing liquid.

The colours seemed to repel each other and swirl.

Terence seemed to do a magic trick.
He ha a cup of water. He added a secret powder
and the egg floated.

Do you know what the secret powder was? I will give you a clue.
I is a bit like the Dead Sea.

Charlotte made and explained an electrical circuit. 

She made the light bulb glow.

Sibgha made a tornado in a bottle.

She used water, dishwashing liquid and glitter.

Then lots of force as she turned the bottle very fast.
