We have been enjoying a range of science experiments as part of the Room 9 Term 3 Oral language Programme.

| Maryam gave us the opportunity to observe what happened when a lit tea light candle was covered with a glass. |
![]() |
| She explained that as the candle used up the oxygen in the glass it went out because just like us fire needs oxygen to survive. |

| Jessica was very well organised. |
![]() |
| First she put some coloured dishwashing liquid into the jar. |
![]() |
| Next she added vinegar. |
![]() |
| After the vinegar she added a baking soda mixture. |
![]() |
| Guess what happened? |
![]() |
| The volcano certainly erupted straight away. |
![]() |
| We smelt vinegar, heard fizzing, saw bubbles. Thanks Jessica. |
