Fun with Geometry 

 Yesterday we had great fun completing a maths challenge. 

The children were very creative and worked hard together to create their hut. Some groups had difficulties and tried hard to rethink there plan.
The children found working together as a team quite a challenge too.
On reflection we decided working together meant -

• listening to each others ideas

• agreeing on a plan

• having roles such as holding parts, connecting parts and getting the parts

We will have further discussions about the shapes of the huts both 2d and 3d.
We could name the 2d shapes we used but are about to discover the names of 3d shapes.
