Friday STEAM

This term the Year 2 team have started a STEAM programme on Friday afternoons.

What is STEAM you ask?

It is a programme which encourages thinking and team work.

In fact in the words of Jessica

'There is no STEAM 

without a TEAM!'

This week the challenge was to build a straw bridge.

It was a fascinating process to watch.

Here are some photos.

There was so much wonderful team work. The children discussed, listened to and shared ideas and worked together to attempt to solve the challenge. I am very proud of the start to STEAM.

Yes, 2 teams managed to complete the brief and build a bridge to support two cups of water.
