Today's Rich task
This week we have been doing a lot of skip counting, mainly in 5s. We have worked on counting in 10s last term. Our different counting skills were put to the test with a rich task today that definitely had us thinking and using our prior knowledge.

The children used a range of ways to work it out including drawing and using the abacus.
They found they had to use not only counting in 5s and 10s but also in 2s.


It was a very team work orientated day today as we also had our 2nd STEAM session.
Today the challenge was to build a tower out of newspaper that was taller than 30cm and that would hold a basketball for 30 seconds. We found it a real challenge!
We are beginning to learn a bit more about the skills and qualities we need to use and show when working as a team.

Planning time. We need to share and listen teach others ideas.
This takes thinking and patience.

Sharing and taking on roles is another thing we are learning about.
